shhh

it's all a bit quiet today. you see, i've lost my voice.

well, not entirely. but i sound like floorboards when i speak. nice.

it also impacts on my stutter. funny. when i do slides, it seems to take a while before my vocal folds vibrate and make a noise - making my stutts a bit longer. and making it confusing for the chinese bloke in the pharmacy to understand me today.

we did ok though. i creaked, he looked, wondered, and sold me a pink spray and some lemsip.

my weekend is set. bring it on.

a very long time

that's how long it's been since i wrote about stuttering on this blog.

and in this time i have heard people do some very long stutters. big blocks. big big blocks. acha.

we've done another course in billy b for people with "oral shackles". we have loosed some of these, and seen some smiles. also some tears. there is sad stuff in stuttering and there is some happy stuff in stuttering. this goes without saying, but you have to look at both to make big progress.

you still stutter, but it isn't the planet of the apes on your back anymore, just a small simian, who gives you nuts sometimes, as a treat.

look after your monkey.

word up.
