how to choose shoes

i have a problem buying shoes. i am the polar opposite of that marcos woman.

mambo has advised me thus...

"go to shoe shop. look. if any shoe tickles your fancy, ask for that shoe (in your size - no point in trying on a shoe too small, or too big). try said shoe on. if you like, buy it. leave the shop. do not look back. that's always worked for me."

i'm not convinced. too much fear.
